When you need a quick way to relax your body and mind, this is the meditation to choose. This is also a great starter meditation to use before other meditations.
In this meditation, you move your focus from one part of the body to another, first tensing each part and then relaxing it as you go

Find a comfortable spot to sit or lie down. Close your eyes and relax. In a moment, I’m going to ask you to take a deep breath through your nose, making sure your stomach rises as you inhale. I’ll then ask you to hold your breath for two seconds and then to breathe out through your mouth.

Go ahead and take that deep breath now, holding it for two seconds and breathing out through your mouth. Repeat this three times. Continue to breathe normally as you allow your body and mind to relax.

I’d like you to begin by focusing all of your attention on your toes.

Imagine each and every toe, one by one.

Now I’d like you to tense your toes.

Curl your toes and tense them for a few seconds and then release them, allowing them to completely relax.

Move your focus to your feet now.

Focus completely on your feet and tense them for a few seconds and then release.

Continue to move your focus up now to your ankles.

Focus all of your attention on your ankles as you tense them for a few seconds and then allow them to relax.

Notice your ankles relaxing as you move your focus up to your knees.

Tense your knees and relax them now and move your focus to your thighs and waist.

Tense them for a few seconds and then totally relaxed.

Move your focus to your lower back and now tense your lower back.

As you relax it, just feel all of the tension draining away.

You are feeling wonderful as you move your focus to your spine.

Focusing all of your attention on your spine.

Straighten your spine and tense it for a couple of seconds and relax.

Move your focus to your chest and shoulders.

Tense your chest and shoulders and then release.

Imagine the tension simply melting away from your chest and shoulders as you relax your body completely.

Move your focus down now, to you upper arms.

Tense and relax.

Your elbows.

Tense them and then simply relax them and move down to your wrists.

Tense and relax as you now focus on your fingers.

Feel each and every finger as you tense and relax them.

Moving your focus back up now to your neck.

Tense your neck and then just let any tension drain away and out of your body.

Your neck feels wonderful.

Moving your focus now to your head.

Imagine your ears and eyebrows and tense them.

 Now relax.

Focus on your jaws and gently tense them for a couple of seconds and release.

You are now completely relaxed from head to toe.

Spend a moment to bask in this wonderful feeling of relaxation.

Go ahead and end this meditation for today by taking a deep breath and resting your eyes for a moment.

Now...I hope you will take a moment and let me know what you think of this meditation...I will be looking forward to your notes.

 Happy Breathing

Lady Majyk
