I mean it.
Spread them.
All humans have wings like The Fae...
They open or close based on our emotions.
Most people go their whole lives with theirs furled at their backs, afraid that if they open them they'll be damaged- but they don't hurt easily and they heal rapidly if we help the process by opening them.
How do you open them, you ask? Fairly simple really.
- Sit or stand somewhere so your back is free and plenty of room behind you.
- Shut your eyes and relax.
- Be aware of the energy in the center of your chest pulsing with your heart.
- Find where the energy flows into your heart from the back and travel 'upstream'. It reaches into two cushion like energy structures behind your back. You may or may not be able to sense them right away. If not you will with practice.
- Just imagine them being there and it'll still work.
These energy structures are like furled flowers -or wings. You can open them by imagining them as a flower opening in the sun, one delicate petal at a time. The more you relax into thes and the less you try and the more you just allow it to happen, the better it works.
See how widely they can stretch. With time and practice you can even stretch them across all of space and time. When the wings are open you are more open to receiving the loving, healing energies from the cosmos along with wisdom. This energy both subtle and physical, flows into our hearts and helps heal and regenerate us phisically and emotionally.
Be aware of your wings. Notice how they'll start to close when you become tense or worried. If you feel them starting to close or that they have reclosed, don't force them open, be gentle. Don't force it. Soon you will find yourself open more of the time just naturally. It is expecially helpful to remember to open them during prayer, ritual, spiritual healing or divining.
