The Crystal Cavern
You are sitting comfortably in your own bedroom, sitting on your bed with pillows propped behind you to support your back. There is music playing softly in the background. The gentle melodies of the harps and flute are very soothing. Your hands resting palms up in your lap contain a small crystal cluster. You close your eyes and begin by doing some deep breathing.
You are hiking through a rocky canyon. You have a light knapsack on your back. You are dressed in hiking boots, a light shirt and khaki shorts with a white scarf about your head. The ridges are dotted with scrub brush and cacti. Your path is an ancient dried up creek bed. You are surrounded by large walls of rock. Time and erosion have left their mark in the colorful layers of the terrain. The sun changes the colors from crimson to rust, and then to burnt umber.
You come to an opening carved into the canyon wall. Peering inside you see that the cavern is quite large. You light a lantern and duck through the entrance of the cave. Upon entering the cave you find yourself in a medium sized room that gradually slopes down to a narrow hall. The stalactites and stalagmites shimmer as water trickles from the elaborate ceiling formations. You hear water splashing ahead of you and as you step through the hall you find yourself in an expansive cavern that glistens and glitters in shades of rainbow colors by the light of your lantern. The cave walls are embedded with rainbow crystals that twinkle as the light hits them creating prisms that dance from their points all about you. To your left water cascades from a high ledge near the cave ceiling and pools into a small pond in the center of the room. The water changes from violet to indigo, blue to green, yellow to orange and then to red, changing from one color of the rainbow to the next.
Deciding to take a dip in the rainbow water you undress and dive in creating a small splash that ripples throughout the vividly colored water. As you dive and splash in the cool clean water you begin to feel different. You feel alive and open as each chakra is cleared by the rainbow waves. Violet waters flow over you and you feel the Divine connection as they clear the crown chakra. As the emerald green water encompasses your body your heart chakra is opened and you feel love as you have never before known. As each color envelopes you, and each chakra is cleansed and activated, you feel both release and power. You float about on the waters surface relaxing into this newness and watch the crystals twinkle all about you. Feeling new, alive, whole, you step from the water and redress. Reaching down to gather your things you find a small crystal cluster lay next to your lantern. Holding it in your palm you feel the same exhilaration as you did in the rainbow pool. Holding it to the light you see the rainbows prism about you. You carefully wrap it in your scarf and place it in your pack. Returning to the cave entrance you find as you step out that you are back in your own bedroom sitting propped in your bed with the crystal cluster in your hands. The points of the cluster resonating and twinkling in rainbow hues alive with the same power of the crystal cavern.
