One of the things we need to do is to keep our connection to the Earth strong. The best way to do this is to spend more time in nature or in natural settings, in other words outside!
With such a busy fast paced society people run from their houses to their cars and then from their cars to work. Once home chores need to get done and by the time you have the time to get outside it is either too late or you are too exhausted.
If you have a park try stopping by sometime either before or after work for 15 min. Sit with a tree or watch the clouds. Don't think or do anything just "be." Make time on weekends to take a hike or get out in your yard (if you have one) or a park. Share this with your child(ren). This is important for them to experience. Being part of nature and experiencing it is so important in this fast paced era.
Don't let Spring slip by without planting something or other even if it's a plant you keep inside. Don't wear gloves either just sink your hands into the soil and enjoy the feeling of the earth. Let your children help you and have them write their experiences as they watch thier personal plants grow and let them know how important it is to nourish it daily. This teaches a wonderul responsibility.
