Samhain Sounds of the night, their cries do bellow, As the energy of spirits on the eve of All Hallows, Skies grown dim and clouds now low, My Earth is alight with Autumn glow. Samhain, Samhain! The night of the old! The veil grows thin and the ether grows cold. Our Moon in New, spirits come forth in end day, With lantern in hand, I show them the way. I walk to my garden in cold, crisp air, My spirit is free and my soul is bare. I walk in silence, though never alone, The old ones surround me, their power has grown. Samhain, Samhain! The wolf, he calls! His power it steals through icy stone walls. This night nears it's darkness, so black and so bleak, The Old Ones, Wise Ones, it now that they speak. Their message before me, they course through my soul, They try to consume me, my edge is control. The ground falls before me, my garden is now gone, This time creeps inside me, at last we are one. Samhain, Samhain! Hecate Divine! The power, the wolf, the night, it is mine! It courses my veins, wisdom is shared, It invokes deep within me, my power is there. Blessed my circle, I stand to vision anew, My garden it glistens like clear morning dew. As I take up the candle, the spirits take flight, I whisper my blessings to the cloak o' the night. Samhain, Samhain! Most Sacred of days! You vanish once more with the first morning rays! A clear, chilly dawn now claims the land. As Goddess descends with the moon in her hand... At the call of the beast, their mournful cries. At the howling winds and dark of the sky. The spinner will spin, the weavers will weave. The soul of the Goddess on Hallows Eve. written by: PredawnLadyKate | | |
