i must admit I would bid 2D without thinking about it. THis person passed and then"sacked" in 5D which we dbled as it was then a forcing action. Needless to say it was cold. The nice bid is passing with 8 likely tricks opposite an opening bid and then making a bid that sounds like a sack.

there is no risk 1H will be passed out. Only risk is if partner has 3 aces, you might miss slam when you jump to 5D.

Sorry I disagree.

Give partner QJxx,KJx,xx,AQxx and overcaller for example AKxx,Axxxx,x,xxx and 5D Doubled is down 2 or 3.

I would start with 2D bid and wait for opener possible 3 bids:
forcing pass, Double, 5D.
Next bid would be according to pd's rebid - over forcing pass 5D, over Double pass, over 5D pass (Kx,x,Axxx,AQxxxx).
