Last night in the fun tourney Curnon and I had an interesting problem to us playing 1nt forcing.

1h    p    1nt    2s          Is the 1nt still forcing??

I looked it up in the Modern Bridge Conventions book and it says if

1h   1s    1nt      the 1nt bid is no longer forcing and is a standard bid but has nothing in it about an overcall AFTER the 1nt bid.

Results??  3h was bid and it sucked...12 pts and 6 pts and no fit at the 3 level was not good.

Par, no bid by partner is forcing if the opponent on his left/your right bids.  You may pass with nothing more to say, knowing that partner will always have another chance to act if he so desires.
