Over 2d I think I'd double and bid (I did...).
 
I find bidding over 3 minor preempts a hard area...
 
With a fit in spades this hand is a great hand...and the danger of just bidding 3 spades is exactly what happened. I prefer an overcall in direct seat to be a good opening plus hand and with more than that double...In IMPs I prefer not to miss games.
 
It's becoming the fashion to make non law-abiding 3-level bids (ie with 6 card suits)...and with 2c usually having another meaning and 2d often having other uses this is getting really common in the minors...it makes decisions about what to do harder
