I understand your point but I don't really agree. Knowing about a void is much more valuble information when next bid usally is a 4NT RKCB..

Also it's not so hard to "paint" a hand when you know about a min 5+ major and one void.

 

Very few conventions let the opening hand a chance to show a void and makes bidding to much random sometimes.
