This was a first time partnership.  2NT was my second choice and I think it is a better one, too.  But, I have never played the responder had to have six to rebid a suit.  Maybe it is just this situation?  Since I am refusing support for the hearts by my bid and I have 2 so my bid should be a six card suit...meaning, I can play in this suit if you have 2?
