FYI -

Alan Schwartz and his partner Ai-Tai Lo have qualified for the sem-finals to be played today.

The field will be reduced after today, and the finals will be played tomorrow.

Tom and I played 1 day.  we had a 49% 1st session and a 53% second session.  We played perfectly but were fixed 31 times by my count

I believe it  ...  I find  we get fixed  at least 1/3 of the boards in a game anymore.  Is it that I am a better player now and know when I have been fixed or is it  bridge is becoming more of a poker game?

If I am reading the Daily Bulletin correctly, Alan and his partner have qualified for the finals.

You can go to ACBL.org home page and click just below the Boston NABC logo to read whichever Daily Bulletin you want.

I played on 8 of the 11 days. I didn't get past the first day of the Life Master Pairs. I got into the final of the Mini Blue Ribbon Pairs (run concurrently with the first semi-final of the Blue Ribbon Pairs) and did nothing that day. I settled for the Regional events at the Marriott for the rest of the tournament. The gift basket finally received stuff on the penultimate day, my last, in the A/X Pairs.

I hope to do better the next time that I attend an NABC.

We only went one day Testi,   Thinking our game was in the Marriott we walked right by the other hotel and even asked at the registration desk where our event was and still forgot to register.  Then walked back to the Westin.

Actually, we were under slight time pressure to get to the Westin, so registering was put on the back burner. Besides, I think the registration desk had closed until after the session.

Come to the Reno NABC in March 2010.  I will make sure you get your registration gifts.
