Everytime I logon to this board, I see that notice about the February closure. The time is getting closer. Do we know when in February? Do we have a place to go? I am starting to show signs of extreme anxiety. We talked about Multiply, but is that really a good choice? |

I think most here already opened a multiply account. ,,,and I think Lorne said something once about transferrring all the posts from here to there. There is also the option of starting a message forum at BBO. They have many message boards and I would think they would welcome the scattered MSN crowd to their site (and it is a free forum). I know most here would be just fine at telling an outsider to get lost if they didn't want them to post there, although we've always encouraged new posters here. |

Unless Lorne knows something we don't, Multiply is a confusing site, and, IMHO, not suitable for a Forum like this one.
Does anyone remember Maurice, a former Zoner who used to be very involved with the Zone Conventions, and he ran a message board which was a lot easier to navigate than Multiply ?
If anyone knows how to reach him, ask him about that message board.

Some time ago I installed phbBB forum, which is quite good free software (BBO forum is using it). For testing purposes it was used by me and Bill.
More details at http://www.phpbb.com/ page.
I offer to install it again in some free web-space and give some persons (admins here) admin rights to manage it.

The Maurice I knew was out of Louisiana somewhere. He played at MSN Bridge Club, but I haven't seen him since it closed.Think he owned a club in Louisiana. |

Since I actively post to both forums, if needed, I will be glad to act as a temporary liaison until we are settled. |
