Most of you didn't know him.  He wasn't a member of the zone (that I know of).  But he was one of the most popular Tournament Directors in our District and in the ACBL, so maybe you have run into him at a tournament.
 
Died suddenly this morning of a heart attack at the Phoenix NABC.

I am saddened to hear this news.  Paul officiated at most of the tournaments in Oregon, and was not only well-liked but also respected.  I was impressed that he remembered my name after only one tournament.
