Submitted by Susqueh Cookie, who was not only my partner but my very good friend, was a great bridge player (Life Master), but more importantly a wonderful person. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. If anyone was a lady, she was!!!!
The game of bridge will miss her; the bridge club will miss her, and I most certainly will miss her.
May her light continue to shine wherever goodness is :)))

I will really Miss Cookie. She started playing with me when I was a fledgeling. We met late one night when she had gotten up to take her medicine. We met may times late at night. We played in many tournaments, and she was very patient with me. She taught me many things. She was a very gracious lady. It is a new experience for me to grieve for someone I met on the computer and never saw. Her preseence and warmth , however, were felt. Now she's gone to that Big Bridge Game in the sky. Good luck, Cookie. We miss you. |

Lendy2 submitted the following tribute to Cookie_Lookie. Cookie_Lookie (Faye Horn), Oak Ridge, Tn. was a special friend. She has been a life master as long as I have known her, (a little over 6 years). She was always willing to play with a novice, which I was when I met her. We played many games together, and never complained when I did dumb things. She has not had good health since I had met her, but she never complained about that either. Always had a smile for everyone, and when we had a good game it was a joy to see the twinkle in her eyes. Lendy2 This rose is a picture Lendy took in her garden. |

Cookie Lookie (aka Faye Horn) was a member of our bridge community here in Oak Ridge/Knoxville, TN area. I have known her for the past 8 years and am saddened by her death. She enjoyed bridge so much and was always ready to play and to help newcomers. In the past year Zone was a god-send as far as she was concerned. When she was home bound she cld always find a partner and a game and the partners and friendships she discovered on Zone brought her a tremendous amount of joy. She will be missed. |

submitted by BigDave, CookieLookie's son. Started by: Big Dave | Sent: 11/26/2000 11:47 AM | 0 Replies | My brother and I were able to see the messages that were written about our mom "Cookie Lookie". We were touched by the things that were said and would like to thank you all for your sentiments. It was through her association with this club that she was able to enjoy her favorite pastime as she grew weaker. We are grateful to you all for that as well. We have put together some pictures of her and the service as well. They can be veiwed at http://user.icx.net/~dkhorn/mem.html for those of you that are interested. Thanks again and God bless , Cookie's family | |
