What do you think of Jessica? What advice would you give Richard if he was your friend and told you about her behaviour? What advice would you give Carrie if she was your friend?

I think Jessica is hurting and isn't talking to anybody about her feelings. I think that her parents are so involved in trying to get through the divorce that they don't see that she is hurting. She blames her mother for something I don't think she should bear the blame for and instead is idolizing the source of the issue kwim? She has daddy wrapped around her little finger and he does nothing but give in to the tantrums instead of dealing with the underlying issue.

I think it is hard. I don't know how to go about giving advice to Richard in this type of situation but I would try to tell him he needs to stop caving in when she throws her tantrums. I think regardless of Jess's age she is acting like a 3 yr old and should be treated as such kwim?

As for Carrie it is rough. I'd like to say that Jess will come around but these things are hard to know how they end. She def needs to figure out if she is in it for the long haul because this isn't going to be a problem that has an easy solution.

I think Jessica needs a reality check, a good kick in the arse, and told what happened, why it happened, that they're working through it and would like to help her and to act like a freakin 13 year old for crying out loud.  I just cannot imagine either of my girls acting that way with their father, holding hands, sitting on his lap, and all that?  Sucking her thumb?  She needs help.
