oohhhh very good idea Janna.

Lets see.....this one is hard, I guess I kinda have a few here.
Well there are different things for different reasons I guess, like presents he got at his birth, two that spring to mind are a beautiful fluffy blue teddy from my parents, and a welcome to the world teddy from my Nana. Also I treasure a few things now that my Nana gave him, like an outfit she gave him at birth that is a little pair of overalls and also a silver engraved "My Christening Day" cup that she gave him for his christening.
Brett's family gave him a musical box type thing that is a milk truck with cats all over it, for his christening too. Also his Godparents which are our besties, gave him a gorgeous pewter mug engraved with his name and a pin engraved with his name. We also gave him one of those pins, with a teddy and his name on it for his christening which is special to me.

I think that is all I can think of atm, but I bet I will come back with more. He has been very spoilt in his little life and there really are just so many things I could list from people. I think a big part of what makes them "special" tho is WHO they come from, not necessarily what they are or how much they are worth. So things from my Mum and dad are obviously special etc and the fact that my Nana is no longer with us makes a lot of things special to me, I think thats a way of hanging on to memories with all your worth iykwim.....

Yes I agree Kel.
B sounds like he has some nice things.

Well my mum has given all 3 girls a care bear when they were born.
I loved care bears so much as a child and I always tell mum the story of how much I wanted the pink love a lot bear and they got it for my birthday one year. When I opened the box it was not sewn properly so we had to take it back to the chemist (of all places that is where they got it) and i remember it so well. We searched for a new one but there were no pink ones around. So I ended up choosing the sunshine bear instead but deep down I was always dissapointed lol. Funny the things that tramatise us lmao.
Anyway so when Sophie was born mum bought her the love a lot bear and said it was sort of for me cause I never got it. Then Gracie was born and she gave her the purple one and now Chloe got an apricot one (don't know there names).
I still have my sunshine bear which they play with also and I will always keep there bears too.
Jake's Mum has given both the girls charm braclets. And has got them a few charms also. She chose danty but adult sized ones so they will always be able to wear them even as adults as we can just keep adding the links. Although the ones she got them were obviously quite cheap cause Sophie chewed hers when littlier and it broke but I secretly went and got another one that looked the same but was much stronger lol. Shh will never tell mil that but she doesnt need to know. It will still be her special thing to them iykwim.

I totally agree on things being special because of WHO gave them not necesarily what they are or worth.

I actually can't think of many things at the moment (even tho this post was my idea LOL)...
One thing that comes to mind tho is a Wooden Train that Ella was given for her first birthday.
It comes from a friend I met online on Huggies. We started chatting when we were pregnant and became fairly close.
I've been to Melb to visit her and we got on so well.

I will think of other things when Ella is not in her room and I can get idea's. LoL.

Hayley - I LOVE Care Bears too. I actually got one when I was really little too and I still have it. I think mine is an Apricot one too. Ella got a medium size one for her birthday - I think its Grumpy. LOL.

Kel - The items from your Nana will always be extra special and its SO great that you have a few things like that!

The day Andrew proposed to me is really special.
It was Valentines Day and we had arranged to meet at my parents place (I was living in the Bus) and then go out for lunch. Was a Friday and we both finished at about 12noon.
I had to come from Berkeley Vale (which is about 30min drive Kel) and so Andrew was there before.

Anyway, when I got to the bus I called out to Andrew and he didn't answer.
As I walked up the stairs, there were rose petals on the top few stairs and they led all the way over to my bed. On the bed was a beautiful Russ Bear holding a single red rose, a box of cadbury chocolate and a beautiful card.
Was so sweet.
He came out of the other room and had been watching my reaction.

We then went to lunch in Newcastle and then came home.
We then decided it had been such a nice day that we would go up the Wattagans (mountains just near my parents place) and watch the Sunset.

As we were standing there watching the sunset, he proposed.

Was such a perfect day!
