Hey girls

I am not sure if you girls are strict on what you eat during pregnancy or if you loosely follow the rules or just throw caution to the wind and eat what you feel like.
I definitely dont judge you either way but for me I am a bit of a by the book follower and try to do the right thing and stay away from the things they say you should avoid.
So I am going to make a bit of a list up and if I miss something or you girls have heard of something else add it okay?! This is just off the top of my head cos I am too lazy to go get my info! lol

Pre-prepared salads eg. coleslaw, potato salad etc.
Soft cheeses eg feta, blue etc.
Cold chicken
Cold leftover meats the next day
Hot dogs (have you girls heard that one? I heard when preg with B and avoided them juste n case)

I ate cold meat if it was FRESH. I ate leftovers the next day but reheated really HOT etc.
I don't eat soft cheeses or premade salads or cold chicken.
Hotdogs well I ate them but only ever bolied up - not sure if if it makes any difference lol.

Ok hmm what else.
I know you are supposed to only defrost meat in the fridge not on the bench.
I always avoided anything suss when out and about. eg. NEVER ate meals that were precooked and sitting there at cafe's, chinese places or sandwich bars etc.
hmm trying to think what else I am sure there is something lol.

I tended to get slacker with it all towards the end though. I was always REALLY good for the first 12 - 20 weeks.

I had No idea when I was pregnant that you shouldn't have the Soft Serve Ice cream.

I didn't really find any of this a big problem. Most of the time I didn't eat much anyway.
And I don't eat alot of pre-prepared stuff or deli meats.

Yeh Hayles I heat leftovers the next day till they are piping hot - I think some of my info says that if you 'must' lol, then make sure it has steam coming off it.
ooo I defrost on the bench somtimes tho! I dont think I knew that one.

Janna I dont regularly eat a lot of that kind of stuff either, dont eat soft cheeses cos I dont like them, I would eat cold chicken the next day on sandwiches but as I said NEVER while pregnant, we actually dont regularly buy things like pre-prepared salads or ham either but you come across it occasionally at a party or bbq.

Thanks for the input.
