Ok.. this is not an attack on working mothers for starters. Do you believe that it is alright to take kds to daycare or school knowing them or thier sybling is sick with something contagious? My example is this....someone took thier child to daycare sick and infected my friends son with hand and foot disease. It is highly contagious and he was not allowed to return to daycare till he was better. Yet Not only did she want to bring him here to play but she was willing to risk infecting my children. But back to the point...she sent her 6 year old son to school knowing he could be carrying the disease with him cause he plays with his brother and thier stuff in a shared room. Do you think she was right in sending the older child to school knowing?

No,she was definately in the wrong!!
At my son's school if a child is off sick with, for example, vomitting and diarrhea, then that child has to be free of symptoms for 48 hrs before they can go back to school.
When my son was diagnosed with chicken pox(nearly 2 yrs ago now)i informed the school as soon as i could so that they could let the parents of the kids in his class know.

no shes definitely shouldnt of took him. my son has been poorly for a month now. he had a bad viral infection a burst ear drum and impetigo and he has been off school for 3 weeksnow. i am worried about his school work but it wouldnt have been fair on the other children if they had also caught the infection

I agree with the others, she should have kept him off school its not worth risking infecting everybody else.

As a nursery manager I cannot tell you how many times mothers would bring sick children to nursery and try to fob us of. When you see a child every day as you do in nursery's you can tell when a child is ill. Many times you can smell the calpol on the child but the mum will say that all is fine. And to be honest alot of these mums didn't work they just wanted time to themselves. They used to make me so angry.
