I used to go often as I've had pre-cancerous cells removed twice but the last time was so bad and left me bleeding for a week after so I haven't been since. I'm about three years overdue now. |

I never used to go but went for one just after Ruby was born and should be due another just after December and yes i will be going,i think its silly not to |

i had an abnormal smear a few years ago, turned out everything was fine but I get smears every year now, i hate going and am overdue this one by a few months  |

I've had regular smears since i lost my first child at 16. Nearly all mine use to come back as abnormal which is why i had them done on a yearly basis. Then after i had Mason at 26 one smear came back so boarder line that i was taken into hospital and had a "Loop Cone" done which is when they take a cone shape biopsy from the cervix. it showed that i had pre-cancerous cells and was given lazer surgery since then i havent missed one and luckly they have all come back normal. I know it's not the nicest thing us women have to go through but i think when you weigh up the option A) do i really want to go through with the test or B) who can i ask to hold my hand when i tell my babies that mummys got cancer personally i know which one i would chose. |
