Debbie tells Jo once more to flee the village but she is insists she wants to clear her name first. Diane stays with Andy who invents more lies about Jo threatening him with a knife. Diane is puzzled and her concern grows when Val laughs off suggestions that Jo could manhandle Andy. After receiving a mouthful from Daz, Debbie confronts Diane and starts to convince her that it was Andy who beat Jo. Daz is incensed and heads to Butlers with Diane to talk with Jo.

As Daz’s anger rises when Jo refuses to back down, Diane notes her anguish at his aggression and her worst fears are confirmed. Diane comforts Jo and Jo confides that there was no pregnancy. Diane is shocked as the extent of Jo’s hatred towards Andy is revealed. After making sure Jo is alright, Diane returns to the hospital and confronts Andy about his actions. He claims that Jo’s lying but Diane isn’t to be swayed and coldly tells him that until he’s ready to be truthful, she won’t allow Sarah anywhere near him. Will Andy bite the bullet and admit he’s an abusive husband?
