A got a phone call the other day from a girlfriend from high school.  Every year a group of 8 of us that hung around together have a Mommy and kids day in the summer.  The plans have begun and supposedly the second week of July, we are planning on taking the kids to the wax museum, mini golf, a picnic, and possibly a drive in movie [if the schedules allow].  I can't wait.  Some of the girls are traveling home with their kids for the event, but seeing as I am still here I think it is nice so that my kids can learn to appreciate what they have nearby and still have fun.  They don't have to be taken on an expensive holiday.
