Recently we've had an interesting discussion in the "What did you make today" thread regarding copyrights and backgrounds, etc. I know it's confusing for everyone to know what we can and can't use as backgrounds for tubes, but I'm sharing some links I hope will help.

Basic Copyright FAQ:

FREE site for royalty free images that does NOT require the URL:

I can't post the link because some photos contain nudity. Just Google 123rf.com. You'll need to sign up to be able to download the images but if all you want are the freebies...it doesn't cost a cent!

Tutorials to help you learn how to create your own backgrounds, etc.
Note: not all these tuts use tubes that are properly credited; please ignore that and just check them out for effects, etc.

I know most of those tuts are really basic and for beginners, but sometimes it's nice to be reminded how the simpler things can work. And these are just a very few of the more basic ones I have...if you want ones that are a bit more complicated, I'll dig again

Scrap Kits:

I know some of you don't care for scrap kits, and I didn't either until recently. But now I have to say I love some for the simple frames they include that are easy to colorize, and the elements that can be used as accents. Some also come with nice papers for easy backgrounds. Remember, you don't have to use the WHOLE kit if you don't want to!

Again, these are only a very few of the many sources out there for free scrap kits. I also belong to a couple of Yahoo groups where I get LOTS of kits!

As always, if anyone has any questions or doesn't understand something, PLEASE just let us know and we'll do our best to help! We completely understand how frustrating and confusing copyrights and TOU's can be and it's an ongoing learning process for all of us. The main purpose of this group is to help you all learn not just how to use PSP, but how to use it to make tags you can post ANYWHERE without worries!

HUGS!
