Ingredients (4 people) 250g pasta shells 1 x 200g can tuna fish (in water), drained 1 x 150g can sweetcorn with no added sugar or salt (or frozen) 2 ½ tomatoes cut into chunks 100g Cheddar cheese, grated
Sauce: 50g butter 50g plain flour 500ml milk Mixed herbs Seasoning Equipment - saucepan

- grater
- knife
- can opener
- chopping board
Method - Preheat oven to 200oC, gas mark 6.
- Boil the pasta for 10 minutes, until tender. Drain the pasta.
- Make the sauce. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and stir into a paste. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. The sauce will become thick. Reduce the heat, and allow to simmer for 2 minutes. Add seasoning and mixed herbs, if desired.
- Add the pasta, tuna and vegetables to the sauce.
- Stir the mixture together.
- Pour the pasta mixture into a basking dish.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
You may wish to garnish this dish with additional tomato slices and chopped parsley. | |
