Dear Father God in Heaven..... we thank you for time. Though it be so fleeting... yet it is a gift from you. Lord God.. here on earth we are celebrating the end of one of our calendar years, and rejoicing at the beginning of a new one. Time is a mystery to us... yet you often say in your word... "in the fullness of time...." .... showing us that there is a time for all things...a time for laughter, a time for tears. A time for sowing, a time for reaping. A time for bounty, a time for lack. So often we find ourselves not wanting to be in the 'time' that we are in...we seek a different time. Yet... you are always, and only in the 'present time'... here with us in each present moment we experience. For you encompass all of time, all of eternity. What a glorious thing to know... you are always there... in all of time. We can't ever miss finding you. You were in all of 2004.. you are in all of 2005.... even though we can only experience it one day at a time... one minute at a time... gradually, consistently...ever moving forward... yet always in the present... always in the here and now. No one can ever say to us.... "Oh you just missed Him.. he's not here, he left just a few minutes ago." We can never be too early, or too late... because no matter where we are in our time... you are there... always and always...every minute. So although we may not like being where we are in time.... we are never alone in what we are experiencing, good or bad. Because you are in all of time... you are with us in all we are enduring, or enjoying. You are with us in our pain our sorrows and our heartaches and fears... and you are with us in our joy and laughter, our gladness and peace. Father God... for 2005 I lift up all of the members of this wonderful group.... that no matter their individual time experiences... they will feel your strength and be comforted in knowing that in the fullness of time... this too shall pass and a new thing will come to them.... after tears will come joy, after loss will come gain, after sowing... will come reaping. Grant healing to the broken hearts dear Lord.... send a soothing balm that will ease their sorrows and fears. Grant them inner peace and a strengthening of their faith when they need it most in their darkest moments. Let not your light be taken from them.... let it be before them always... leading them forward... to the good thing you have for them.... to the fulfillment of your blessings and promises for them. Thank you God for time. Thank you God for this time... and the gathering of us all together in this special moment of time...and in this special place. Thank you for getting us through 2004. Grant us peace in our hearts for those who were called home to you this past year.... and help us to continue to go forward on the paths you have declared us to continue to walk until our time comes to also leave this earth. Thank you for bringing us into 2005. We know not what lies ahead. We go into it in faith and hope ...for those good things that are ours to have. May we fill the days of 2005 with words, thoughts and actions that please you Father God... let that be our gift to you. Happy New Year to you God.... I pray you are able to rejoice in us, as we rejoice in you. In Jesus name.... Amen. | language=javascript>var bMB=true;</SCRIPT> language=javascript id=OVScript src="http://cmhtml.msn.overture.com/d/search/p/msn/js/communities/?Partner=msn_grpdir&maxCount=3&market=us&ctxtId=166&type=166"></SCRIPT> language=javascript></SCRIPT> ></SCRIPT> Go To Replies <NOBR>First </NOBR> <NOBR>Previous </NOBR> <NOBR>2-4 of 4 </NOBR> <NOBR>Next </NOBR> <NOBR>Last </NOBR> | | Reply
| | Good Morning Group Family .... It's day 2 of our New Year..... and as the hustle and bustle of all the celebrating dies down I wanted to send this back up in case someone missed it. I do so sincerely wish you all as Happy a New Year as is possible, and strength to overcome and succeed when tough times ahead require it. In this vast world of change and confusion and uncertainty, it's so very comforting to have our little world here to come to and share together. If you posted an individual "Happy New Year" thread... as time and energy permitted on New Year's Eve, I attempted to add a personal individual prayer reply to those also... and wanted to mention that in case you have not gone back to read replies to your thead lately. I think I got everybodies... but may have missed a few as the minutes ticked away and fatigue started to set in.... I hope this group prayer for everyone here will make up for any individual ones I didn't get to that night. My heart and thoughts and prayers are always there for you all .... even if you don't hear from me individually as often as I'd like. Hugs to you all.... Grace | | |

Welcome to Sunshine and Rainbows.... It's December, it's Christmas. It's a time of learning to take our focus off of our self and our own needs and wants, and to instead... become willing to open our eyes and hearts to the needs of others. We need to live that way all year long don't we, but it's not always easy. Self can grow way too large throughout the year. I'm thankful for this time of yearly renewal when we learn to again redirect the path of our thoughts off of our self and onto others. It is my desire that this be the heart purpose of Sunshine and Rainbows... to hear the heart of other people. It is my hope that you will find you are important, cared for, valued, and appreciated ... just for being you. You matter. Your thoughts and feelings and your heart's needs matter. God made you... that makes you special! This Christmas season, as we give thanks for the greatest gift of all, Jesus, may you find Peace in your life, in your heart... and also here at Sunshine and Rainbows. Merry Christas to you! God Bless you, and thank you for visiting, |
