This is the biggest of all the planets of the solar system. Its radius is nearly 44,360 miles. The radius of Jupiter is nearly 11 times longer than that of the Earth. When it is nearer to the Earth it is seen brighter than any other fixed star but is less brighter than Venus. Jupiter is said to be surrounded by a dense atmosphere of methane and ammonia gases.

Jupiter is the first of the slower-moving planets and it takes approximately a year to travel through one sign of the zodiac, thus forming a 12 year cycle. The return of Jupiter to the position it occupied at your birth once every 12 years marks an important development point. The energy of Jupiter is expansive but light. It is supposedly beneficial and at odd times harmful.

Saturn is next to Jupiter in size. Its chemical composition is similar to that of Jupiter with a mixture of methane and ammonia gases. The planet is surrounded by three circular concentric rings. The diameter of the entire system is 1,71,000 miles. The rings will be seen in their maximum widths when Saturn is is at the point in the constellations of Taurus and Gemini.

Saturn is a slow moving planet and takes two-and-a half years to traverse one sign and around 28 years to complete one cycle through the entire zodiac. The Saturn Return which occurs around the age of 28 is renowned for major transformations in ones life. Saturn's energy is repressive and dense but ever-lasting. Saturn governs our karmic responsibilities and our capacity to learn about life in every part of life.
