SHOES: When buying shoes, wait until the afternoon. Your feet tend to be relaxed first thing in the morning after a night's sleep, but may swell slightly during the day, , so if you buy your shows early in the morning you may find that they pinch you in the evening.
SHOWER CURTAINS: To prevent mildew on your cloth shower curtains, soak them for half an hour in a strong solution of salted water, then hang them up to dry... Rubbing the curtains with bicarbonate of soda will also help remove mildew.
SLUGS: One of the least offensive ways of killing slugs is by distributing bran around the garden, whick they are attracted to, but which klills them.. ( The bran will also attract snails, who will assemble around it making it easy to collect them). Alternatively, you can entice the slugs with a glass of beer left in the garden overnight...WHAT???
No Way....Not My Beer!!!! .. Here's what I do... It's not in the book, but it's been proven. **Run a thin line of salt around the permiter of your flower bed, or vegatable garden.. In the morning just collect the dead ones..
PS/ When you are finished, go inside and have your beer.
