Good day everyone. Well I just found out that Thursday is called Thirsy Thursday. Betty see what you started. That was the most fun this group had in awhile. Thank you. I got a great laugh out of it. Hello to all you people....   Brrr.... Too bloody cold to go for a walk today...plus the wind...Yuk.   Doesn't make for a nice day to be outside, at all. So, I'm not!!!    but like most days when I stay inside... I don't get too far from the kitchen.  Bottled some golden plums (? damsons) as they are sometimes called.   Never noticed, but one of the lids had a little dent in them.. Naturally, it didn't seal... So, I'll give it to somebody.   
 
That took care of the morning and after dinner, I used the last of my frozen bananas to make another batch of 4 banana bread.  Just popped them in the oven about 15 minutes ago. I really love the smell of home baking on cold days, like this.      But nothing beats the smelll of homemade bread...   I can't remember the last time I baked bread....   not even sweet bread for Christmas.     Maybe I'll try it sometime, to see if I still have the knack... lol .
 
As soon as they are finished, I'll be putting a chicken in for supper.... Crippers!!!  Somedays there is no friggin' end to the housework.... AND I don't even have my bed made yet... lol.... Soooooooooooooooooo, guess I shouldn't be here playing.
 
This is my fourth day on a diet.... Right now, I could eat the Funk Islands, as my dad use to say..  I'm going to put some time into a good plan instead of not eating.... That's not the right way to go about it, but for the first week or so, that's my way... No breakfast, No dinner, but I eat supper.... ,Whatever is on the go,  No holes barred for supper...  and I don't pick between meals... Now There's My Problem..Picking!!  I eat enough for a meal , between my meals many days..  And I haven't had a piece of bread since Monday morning....  Gotta dig out that 3-day diet plan... It's really good. AND you can have toast..  Enough of that... I could crash any minute and head for Mary Browns.. LOL...
 
OK.... My break is over... The timer is reminding me that I'm needed back in the kitchen... So long all you nice people and I'll drop by later..

Neither Betty nor Mrs has posted when I began this.... Betty, in a answer to your question re Hump Day..( still smiling), I never had time to even know what it meant... Unlike you , I asked the person who said it... That was a good many years ago... I think I was working at the Waterford Hospital then, just learning my trade.
 
And Mrs.... I'm so glad you have found a new home, well, for now anyway... Hope everything goes well for you in the sale of your place...  Would love to be around you to get some bargains....  Don't throw anything away.... There always Freecycle... and one man's junk is another man's treasure....  It feels real nice to give something to people... Just a couple of weeks ago, I offered a Vegatarian Cookbook..  Well, you wouldn't believe the number of people who wanted it... To me it was junk....
 
Buzz, Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... The timer is at it again.... The banana breads should be ready to come out now.    Betty:  I'm with you... Who knows about Friday ???

Carrie me duckie - the absolute worse thing you can do is not eat.....Breakfast is the most important meal with supper being the least amount one should eat, with a small mostly protein snack at night, ie, a hunk of cheese, a cold hard boiled egg, or some other form of protein.  Alex makes me a slice of cold ham spread with soft goat milk cheese, a glass of milk and a couple of rice crackers for my snack.
    If there's any way I can be of help to you or to anyone else, please feel free to ask.
    Joanie isn't feeling great this past few days...It always happens this time of year - an COPD attack but I'm praying it doesn't get worse - if it does, I'm prepared with a prescription for anti-biotics and the dreaded prednasone. (YUK)
    Gotta go, Alex go lunch ready.   Have a great day everyone.

Thanks  for caring Joanie:  It's wonderful to have you... Like I said , ""I know it's not the right way to go about it", but I want to see some pretty immediate drops in weight and then after 5 days or so, I just cut back and eat less...  Don't know if it's healthy, but it's less...  The feeling of being bloated is already lessened, and this gives me the incentive to keep it up.... not the fasting, but the good food .
 
Years ago I remember reading that it is a very healthy thing to do is to pick one day a week and drink water only... The water , plus the fact you are not eating, flushes your body and clears it of many toxins...  I always begin on a Monday...  Many times I have drank several glasses of water and nothing else for a 24 hour period....  I like to think I'm doing something healthy.... Like I said, that was many moons ago and Now, it's possible that is not perceived the same way.... ,
 
Anyway... Had company tonight and it's only now they are leaving.... Just heading for the bed and I'll be back in tomorrow, I hope..
 
Thanks Joanie... I loved you little night snack... If you have anymore ideas, especially low calorie ones, feel free to suggest some...   Next week, I will be eating healthy anad you will be pleased to know you were a part of it  ..... lol...  I'll take ideas from anybody, so don't be shy....Gotta feeling I'm gonna know what goat cheese tastes like pretty soon....    ...  Thanks again..   Good Night and Hugs to Everybody

Carrie me duckie - fasting and drinking water one day a week to release toxins is a good thing.  I couldn't do it....I would pass out with hunger. hahaha - but I also read that is was a good idea.  I'm going to post some eat healthy ideas on here and if it can help others - more the better.  But that won't happen until tomorrow probably - We are going out to play.

I was told,u should never miss a meal,just make smaller  amounts,also lots of water plus fruit and veggies.
Also   the less u eat,the less calories u will lose,the more u eat,well u know lol.
They say your body will ajust to what u are taking in,as in the amount of calories.
They also say better to eat just a little bit 5 times a day then 3 big meals,this all came fr a dr I seen on tv.
 
carrie,the rest is upto u,I use to do what  u are saying,maybe not the same but I skipped meals lol,just have coffee morning  and lunch then eat supper,I always did lose the weight.
I never did that for many yrs now.
