Two Loaf Bread Recipe

Ingredients

In small bowl add the following ingredients:

1 pk. yeast
 2 tsp. sugar
 8 oz. warm water
Let the contents sit in bowl and rise about 10 min...put aside...

In large mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients except the warm water..

5 cups white flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. butter

Note: 10-11 oz. of warm water will be added during this step..

Except for the warm water, rub all indredients together and form a well-like shape in centre..Then add 8 oz. of warm water, still working in the centre; work with the righ hand fingers, only..Then add yeast mixture...Still working in centre, take a little flour from the sides of the bowl, add water and again take some flour from the sides until all the flour is blended...Form a large ball, and keep kneading...
Form ball and let stand to rise for about an hour or till it's double in size..Make sure room temperature remains reasonably warm while dough rises...(I put my oven on about 150 and sit it on top of stove)...

Divide risen dough in six round, even balls...Put three ball of dough side by side in each of two greased pans...Cover pans and let rise again for about an hour or more...Preheat oven to 375 F. Bake your bread for 30-45 min....until brown....For a shinier appearance, brush top with butter or vegetable oil before baking...

I just had some toast....it was pretty good...LOL..
