When filling a hot-water bottle, lie it flat on its back holding the neck upright... This will prevent the water from splashing out due to air in the bottle.
** Add a little salt to the water to keep it warm longer..
I CAN REMEMBER WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL .....MY MOM USED TO FILL THE HOT WATER BOTTLE AND LIE IT FLAT TO GET THE STEAM OUT SHE WOULD SAY !!!
BUT NEVER KNEW ABOUT PUTTING SALT TO KEEP IT WARM LONGER ..... I GUESS THERE IS NO HOT WATER BOTTLES NOW ..THIS DAY AND AGE ...LOL... BUT I STILL HAVE ONE UP TO THE CABIN .....
