Drawers:    If you have trouble opening tight fitting drawers, rub soap or candle wax along the upper edges to lubricate them..
 
I feel foolish even putting that here... Gosh, we all know that one.
 
OK... Here's a bonus one: 
 
Drilling:
1:  To stop a drill from slipping when drilling a hole into metal or ceramic tiles, cover the mark with adhesive tape... Drill through it and then remove the tape..
 
2:  When drilling into the ceiling, drill through the base of a plastic bottom from any container, perferably a  transparent one to make your mark visable..  This will catch the chips and stop them from going into your eyes.
