RUBBER GLOVES:   As hands sweat a lot in rubber golves, they may become damp and smell unpleasant..  Avoid this by dusting the inside of the gloves with talc when you use them and by washing the inside from time to time..  It will also help if you dry the gloves inside-out after you have used them.
 
RUBBISH:   To keep dogs and cats away from your rubbish, sprinkle pure ammonia over the bags.
 
RUGS:  To keep a rug from slipping or wrinkling on a carpet or shiny floor, stick some plastic stick-ons, commonly used for the bath, on the underside of the rug... Alternatively, you could sew or glue pieces of carpet, pile downwards, under the corners of the rug.
