Crocheted Santa Ornament

This little Santa ornament makes a great package decoration. Attach a loop of metallic thread or yarn for a hanger or glue a magnet to Santa’s back. A new Christmas tree ornament or fridge magnet is like a little added gift.

Materials:
  • Small amounts of red, pink and white worsted weight yarn
  • Size G crochet hook
  • Two 10 mm wiggle eyes
  • White craft glue
  • One white and one red 5/8�?pom-pom
Finished Measurement
3 ½ x 4 inches
With pink, ch 4.
RND 1
DC in 4th ch from hook 12 times, sl st in top of ch �?13 dc including ch. Fasten off.
RND 2
Join white in any dc, ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around, sl st in top of ch 3 �?26 dc (ch 3 counts as one dc).
Beard: ROW 1
Ch 4, turn Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * sc in next dc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook; repeat from * until 10 dc remain.
ROW 2
Ch 4, turn. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc around post of dc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc around post of same dc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, * sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc around post of next dc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc around post of same dc; repeat from * until 10 dc remain. Fasten off.
Hat: ROW 1
Join red in top of next dc, ch 3, dc in each of remaining 9 dc �?10 dc.
ROW 2
Ch 1, turn. Sc in 2nd sc from hook and each sc across �?10 sc (ch 1 counts as one sc).
ROW 3
Ch 1, turn. Sc in each of the next 7 sc, 2 sc in each of last 2 sc �?12 sc.
ROW 4
Ch 1, turn. Sc in each of next 8 sc, sl st in remaining 3 sc. Fasten off.
