RIGHT SIDE DOWN SIDE CAKE 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar 3/4 cup unsalted butter 3 eggs well beaten 3 cups sifted cake flour 3/4-teaspoon nutmeg 3/4-teaspoon cloves 3/4-teaspoon salt 1-1/2 cups buttermilk 1-1/2 teaspoons soda 1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract 1-1/2 cups orange marmalade 1-1/2 cups sliced peaches 3/4-cup brown sugar 1-cup raisins Cream sugar and butter then add eggs. Sift together flour, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Mix buttermilk and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with the flour mixture beginning and ending with flour. Add almond extract and blend. Place remaining ingredients in bottom of greased cake pan then pour batter on top and bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Turn out upside down and serve with whipped cream on top.
