Good morning, Carolyn Very nice to meet you. My name is Bob and on the boards I go by Scooter, a nick chosen in honor of my lil red minpin - he's my bud and in his mind THE alpha male of the cosmos - a pic to put a face to the name: I took the liberty of perusing your profile and took note of the two things needed to start your day, so please allow me to assist - a smile and a cup of coffee (cream and sugar??) I'll hold off on giving a lot of info about myself, not out of shyness or such, but this thread is a chance for one person to ask about another, so feel free to ask any questions you wish I'll start off 1 - okay, Mom - now's your chance - tell me about your kiddoes, bet they keep you hoppin' 2 - other than where you are now, where would you like to live? been there? 3 - what kind of work do you do? 4 - your favortite: actor? actress? song/singer? place to vacation? meal? quotation? Hope I haven't thrown too much at ya - couldn't find the kitchen sink lol Will check back later - have a marvelous day, and nice to meetcha. Scooter |

Hi Carolyn, Not to worry - that "time out" thing can be a real pain . . . here's what ya do . . . Go ahead and type your message to whoever, take as long as you want; add whatever pics and such you wish, and then sit back and take a deep breath. don't click on the "Send Message" button YET - you don't want to lose everything you just typed. After ya make sure you don't want to change or add anything else, take another sip of coffee or tea, use your mouse to highlight everything you put in the box, then type "CONTROL - C" on the keyboard (this saves everything you typed, etc on your clipboard). Then hit "cancel" (right next to the send message"Send Message") - which will take you back to the board you're posting to, and click the reply button again, which will now re-open the box you had just closed. So far so good - Now, with your cursor in the the box, type "CONTROL -V" on your keyboard and voila!! - everything you had just highlighted a moment ago will appear in the box Now click on the "Send Message" button and you'll see the thread reload with your new message added. Sit back and grin smugly, your inner child now laughing uproariously at the Microsoft Gremlins as you chalk up yet another victory in the never ending battle between Bill Gates and the common man/woman . . . Seriously, hope this helped. |

Hi again, Carolyn Forgive me for not answering sooner - first week in the month is always busiest for us, plus am transfering from one school to another (more on this in #4). 1 - Yes, I have four grown children: Robbie (son), 34 - has two sons, Robert and Tyler Nathan (son) 32 - has a daughter Maya, and a son Jacob Tim (son) 30 - has a son Ethan Sara (daughter) 28 - has two daughters, Bethany and Paige 2 - Both - I drink a LOTTTTT of coffee, love the stuff; also enjoy ice tea when eating out 3 - Where would I go if I could go anywhere??? hmmm, the list is lengthy, but the top three would be: Scotland, Australia, and a return trip to Thailand. Also have a dear friend in the group who wants to go to Bora Bora and when she sends me my ticket, I'm outa here lol. 4 - My wife and I are resident managers of a self-storage facility in Baytown - about 10 miles east of Houston. Not a bad job, as jobs go - pays ok, bonuses, live where we work, flexible schedule; that being said, not gonna do it the rest of my life. Am going to school to become a court reporter and am very excited about doing this. The aspect of recording snippets of history as they happen is the most appealing and intriguing concept I've ever encountered; the pay's not too shabby either. Just call me a scribe lol. 5 - Christmas!!! I used to be a real Ebenezer, and then years ago my first wife left and the Christmas immediately following was pure hell - didn't really know how much I missed my kids until that moment; anyway, as time worked it's healing magic and I once more became my own person, I found that Christmas was really special to me - the birth of the most special person ever born is remembered at this time of year; the fellowship and openness of people shines in abundance; and I love to "keep" Christmas - every year I put out my decorations the day after Thanksgiving, and I always feel like a kid again. 6 - I live in a place called Baytown - Gary Busey was born here. Baytown sits at the top of Galveston Bay, near the mouth of the Trinity River. It's warm and mild in the winter and HOT in the summer - but then isn't air conditioning a wonderful thing lol. Pretty much all the natural gas used on the North American continent is processed and distributed from this region of the Gulf Coast, also most of the sulfur - which means we have a lot of refineries and chemical plants, but they keep it surprisingly clean which makes sense - what is pollution to you and I is wasted product and lost revenue to a refiner. Haven't always lived here - my dad was a career serviceman (U S Coast Guard), so we moved around a lot - and I travelled a lot after leaving home - lived in Thailand for a year, Hawaii for two years plus various and sundry places around the country. Plans are to move to New England (Connecticut) as soon as it becomes practicable - about a year or two. Okay, your turn in the barrel again - 1- How did you come the nick Onehappyflirt? and DO you??? (wink-wink) 2 - Favorite Monty Python offering? 3 - Molson or LaBatt? 4 - What makes a man sexy? 5 - Last book you read? 6 - Last movie that made you cry? Ain't this fun lol |

I'm So glad you have got your Christmas sprite back it's a great time of the year. Geez my poor brain is not working for me right now..lol but then does it ever...LOL You ask how I picked my nick..Well ever since I can remember I've always been a flirt and I'm a happy go lucky person, so I thought that it suited me, so I've used it ever since. hmmmm 7 yrs now ...hehehehehe Molson or Labatts you ask... that would be Molson Canadain ..hehehe in a frosted glass please...mmmm what makes a man sexy .... it's his smile I love a man with a great smile it turns me on ...ok, I'm bad what can I say ;) The last book I read was called ...An Inextricable Tale..by Paul Allgood. hmmmm.. the last movie that made me cry ... would have to be On Golden Pond... its a old movie but I just watched it the other day :( Fun you say ...lol ...omg this all new to me.. so hope you bare with me :o) Ok now for you 1-when your not working, what do you like to do for fun? 2-what's the crazyest thing you ever did ? 3-Do you have a favorite number ? 4- what kind of music do you like to listen to? 5-Do you like to go out to the movies or stay home and relaxe with your wife at home..? 6- last but not least... what makes a woman sexy ? Good morning Carolyn great questions!! hmmm . . . Lessee . . . 1 - For fun - well, I'm pretty low key - I like to watch old movie, from the glory days of hollywood 30's, 40's, 50's. Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, John Wayne, James Cagney, James Stewart, Edward G. Robinson, Lionel Barrymore, Clark Gable, Tyrone Power - one could go on and on. Very few if any of that caliber making movies today - Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks a few others, but not the galaxy that once was. And the movies made today just aren't in the same league as the great classics - I could watch those over and over. I also like to read - good fiction and current articles that inform. Not much into tabloids and gossip rags, but a well written quality magazine - kewl. Museums are fun too - have plans to visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science for their exhibit on Imperial Rome; oh, did I mention being fascinated on the subject of Rome? Do NOT get me started lol. I also like to take a nice drive, or even a trip to central Texas. 2 - Craziest thing I ever did - hmmmm . . . when I was about seven years old we lived in Memphis, Tennessee and there was this city park down the street with a Chinese garden in the middle of it. Ya had to go up this hill, and then down the other side to get to it. For some reason I had this overpowering urge to take off all my clothes and run throught that garden . . . . no one else was around, else I never would have had the nerve lol . But it was a nice spring morning, sun shining, nature all around and before I knew it that's what I did . . . to this day, I can still recall the feeling of absolute freedom that washed over me. Hope that isn't going too far afield lol - heck, maybe I need to visit one of those "nature" clubs we hear so much about. 3 - Do you have a favorite number? yep - 7 4 - Music: I enjoy country, anything from the 40's thru the 80's. Not too keen on what's being marketed these days. Love Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw etal - that whole big band/swing era. Also love classical - Beethoven, Mozart, Mahler - all them old guys, as well as show tunes. 5 - We'll make a movie about once or twice a year - we went and saw "23" with Jim Carrey - excellent flick; I went by myself to see "300" - kicked butt!! 6 - What makes a woman sexy? A pair of knowing and communicative eyes attached to a well functioning brain - a woman who has that going for her (and sadly some do not) gets my blood racing every time. Give me the "down-to-earth-been-around-the-block-and-wants-to-take-another-trip-cause-she-knows-all-the-spots-she-likes-and-wants-to-show-her-partner-what-REAL-excitement-tastes-like" lady any day. Patricia Heaton for instance is one sexy lady. ___________________________________________________________________ What kind of flowers do you like? What's the craziest thing you've ever done? At this point in your life, do you find yourself - More or Less inhibited? More or Less spontaneous? More or Less organized? More or Less contented? More or Less adventurous? More or Less willing to "dream" about the future? - and do feel free to elaborate as the spirit moves BTW - nice pic on your profile, your cheeks have lovely glow
