nothing new in my neck of the woods.....

 same old  stuff day in and day out.......

 work mostly when I am not working it is sitting around with my friends.

 

Boyfriend....well sometimes I call him that....but mostly we are just friends.

 We met about 4-5 years ago. Its one of those come and go relationships ...sometimes we are but most of the time we arent. but we are always friends. 

 

Anywhoo....so I am glad to hear that you have found some happiness....why dont ya tell me about that.

 

What are your plans for Christmas.....do you travel for the holidays or stay at home?

Well now that is a dangerous thing to ask me about.... I could go on and on and on lol. He really is an amazing guy.... cute, smart, funny, HOT lol. It's only been a little over two months but I am completely hooked..... scary though, I've never really dated and am scared to death of being hurt. He is very recently separated from a woman who made him (and still makes him) feel worthless. I am trying real hard to build him back up but 13 years in a bad marriage is hard to reverse. We have a lot of fun together and that's good but where we are heading I have no idea. He's met all but one of the kids and he and my youngest girl are even more crazy about eachother than he and I LOL. She's gotten a present from him and I haven't yet!

 

Christmas is going to be kind of crappy around here this year. We still always miss my mom and now my grandma and Pat are gone too. My Dad and I are going to be at my ex-husband's house so that we can all be with the kids on Christmas day. I have to try and figure out how to fit in the in-laws..... so unfair, no husband and yet I have in-laws! lol But I think boxing day will be here at home, possibly with Ian as he doesn't plan on going home for the holidays, and it's his b-day!! So I'll have to do a little something something for him. I've already gotten him a killer gift so now I just have to decide if the good one is for Christmas or his birthday.

If I had some intersting boy talk..i'd  probably be the one boring you. i love that silly feeling, but for me it goes away all to quickly. i think that it is great for the both of you. We dont really have boyfriends where I live.

 

I don't do anything really special for christmas. I usually work during the holidays. For 1: the money and 2: I don't have children so let someome else have off.

 

I am a nursing assistant/ unit coordinator at the hospital. I keep saying that i am going to go back to school but i have no idea for what.

 

So besides hanging out with "the boy" what else do you like to do for fun?

Well I play darts two nights a week. 301 with a friend of my hubby and Cricket with my sister in law. It's a lot of fun but basically an excuse to go out and drink durning season. In the spring there is a tournament for a trip to Vegas to represent Regina at the international tournament. That's about the only time it is serious. I'm doin pretty well this season so I am crossin my fingers for the trip.

 

I do read (haven't in a bit though...) my taste in books is pretty varied. My faves would be King, Koontz, Barker but I have read some really amazing books by a lot of people. Highly recommend 'The Memory Keepers Daughter' to anyone who hasn't read it yet.

 

I am a total rock and/or roll girl. Again my tastes are pretty varied and I like a little of everything but give me some Metallica and I am a happy girl.

 

You know I have really gotten out of watching TV lately. Since all the new seasons have started I have been recording all my faves but haven't watched any yet....... not cool! lol So on my PVR I have, Heroes, Las Vegas, House, Amazing Race, Survivor.... I think that's it.

Hey Chicky,

 I like to play darts, and pool and drink too....I am good at the drinking part...but i have bad aim for the other two , but i do enjoy playing at them. I like to play chess, I havent played in a while though.

I like to read all kinds of stuff...mostly lately it has been true crime stores, ever since seeing and reading the zodiac. but now I walk around scared half to death. So I had to take it down a few notches and i have been reading Stephanie Meyer. I dont really have a favorite.

I have been at the hospital now for about 5 years and i like it on most days. It can be overwhelming at times, but at the end of the day i know i have done the best i can and thats all i can do.

 i rent an apartment. It is the first time I have ever had my own place. I have always had a roomate or when i was married. I like most days, but it does get lonely and boring.but i wouldnt trade it for anything. i like my freedom.

I watch some tv when someone else here is watching it, but mostly when i am here alone the tv never comes on....unless it is american idol, i don't know why cause every year  i say the same thing, "that I am never watching that show again!" but yet i can't stop...LOL.

I dont drink juice.  I usually have water, crystal light or diet mt. dew. Probably the only good habit I do have.

LOL..i say we don't have boyfriends here...cause well i am just assuming that we don't because I can't seem to find one. So if you have a few to spare...could you send them down for me and my friends.

 

 

I am trying to think of some interesting things to ask but I can't quit yawning....so i'll come back to this one.

I am kinda good at darts but I suck hard at pool....... was good back in highschool and that's what I did from 9 till 3:30 most days LOL. The drinking part I have down pat....... I rock at drinking. Although lately I have been thinking I need to bring it down a notch, I ain't no spring chicken anymore LMAO

 

I have read a few true crime novels but I just can't, makes me too sad and upset that these things happen in the world. I truly am a pollyanna and I hate to have my bubble burst!!

 

Workin in a hospital would be tough.... I know I could never do it. My sis in law is a unit clerk in the one ER here in town. I just thank God every day she wasn't on shift the night they brought Pat in....... I don't think she ever would have gone back.

 

This is my first place of my own too and I LOVE it (most of the time).... I was tempted to decorate entirely in pink just cause I could! lol I moved straight from my parents house in with the ex and then straight from our house in with Pat..... I have always been a serial monogamist I suppose...... with one intermittent spell of non-monogamy which led to the second  oopsy!! lol

 

Well I think I may have gotten the last good boyfriend in the area....... We met on plentyoffish and I tell ya, the first few weeks we were dating I stayed on there and every single moron (except one who works out of town for 12 weeks and then is home for one, so not gonna happen LOL) on there messaged me...... I just couldn't handle it anymore. I got really lucky, I signed up at 3 AM after darts and the first guy I talked to at 9 AM the following morning was Ian. We hit it off immediately and even discussed meeting that night but sadly he got called into work  So the following night we did meet and it was like instant chemistry..... it's never been awkward at all..... it's like a dream. Pat always said to me "How did I get so lucky twice?" (he was a widower when we met, 5 months since his wife passed) and I really really get the feeling he was looking out for me and guiding me on this one. I seriously think I hit the jackpot in the man department twice. The fact that I randomly signed up for that stupid dating site out of boredom and started talking to Ian 6 hours later just blows me away lol......

 

Holy crap, considering you didn't ask anything I sure managed to ramble on for a while! lol

 

What I find hilarious is that we have the most active thread on connections this week and we weren't even paired up!!! LMAO

 

thats funny when imoved here I wanted to do everything in pink also.... I was going to make it as tacky as i could......just because i could.

Ok so Chicky....my birthday is coming up., and I was wondering ....what are some crazy things you do to celebrate your birthday?

My birthday isn't until April thank heavens... I don't even want it to come! lol

 

I don't know that I've ever really done anything too much for my birthday. Back in highschool one of my boyfriends had the same birthday as me and we used to have some huge parties on his parent's farm. But since then they pretty much slip by almost unnoticed. Sad but true.

I love doing laundry.... except putting away. I could wash and dry and fold all day. But then it stays in baskets LMAO

 

I love to cook but I really don't do recipes. I tend to be a wingin it kinda girl when it comes to cooking. I can tell you a little secret though, I glaze my meatloaf with a mix of ketchup and soya sauce..... everyone asks what it is but I never tell cause I am embarassed!! LOL It's so simple and yet so darn good!

 

One of my other faves is butter chicken. I buy the pre-made sauce in a jar and then add some more curry, mushrooms, onions, garlic, peppers, pineapple....... mmmm good!!

What does one cook for one?? (I am having a hard time cooking for just me and the two girls most days, still cook way too much! Never realized how much Pat ate!! LOL........ Ian is going to get sick of me always begging him to come over and eat so I don't have leftovers)

Hey chicky....sorry I was out for the day...i had to work.

 

I don't have any big plans for my birthday....other than a goal to do my best drunk or not....to not fall down. I don't want any lumps on my head. LOL.

More than likely I will sit at home and hang out with friends. There really isnt much to do around here.

 

As far as the cooking goes...i am not really the chef...i am a good sous chef...but thats about it.

 

 

well if you ever run out of laundry to wash and fold....you can always come over here...haha I do the same thing leave it in the basket until there is only like a handful of items managable for me to go ahead and put them in the drawers. LOL..Oh my....i am so lazy.
