Never Fading Memory

The memory that will never fade
The day that will live forever in infamy
The day buildings fell
The day Americans died senselessly
The day that left horrible images etched into our memories
The day that average citizens became heroes
The day the world cried as one
The day that America's sense of trust and security died
The day that fear replaced all other feelings
The day the sleeping giant was awakened
The day a nation separated on several lines came together as one
The day that hatred for terrorism replaced hatred for one another
The day that terrorism was given a face
Every September 11th we will look to the skies and hold our breath
Hope it isn't going to happen again
Pray for those that died
Pray for those that might die
