Hello my friends, here it is, Christmas is knocking at our door now.  I would like to take this time to wish each and all, a very Merry Christmas, and all the joy and happiness it brings with it.

I , for one, sometimes find it a bit difficult to get into the swing of the season, due to a myriad of personal problems and such, but I do NOT feel the least bit guilty if I can't become one of those smiling happy faces we see in the TV specials and such, pertaining to Christmas.

I believe this the time of the year to celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ, and to be thankful for His coming, and the ultimate sacrifice He made, for each and everyone of us.

My thoughts will be with you all, during this season, and my wishes will be that we ALL can bear up under the pressures in our lives, and be just that much stronger.

May God Bless each and all, and my best wishes are offered to you.

Ol Grumpy

I want to join Grumpy is extending Christmas greeting to all of you.
I don't remember if any of you have heard the story about the 15 year old, retarded child who had an angel appear at what the doctor's and family thought was her death bed or not.  At first I thought it was in Sacramento, but I heard this morning that it's in North Carolina.  She was born on Christmas Day, almost 15 years ago, and was 5 weeks premature.  She is retarded and cannot stand, walk or do alot of other things.  She caught a bad case of pneumonia a few months ago and the doctor's finally gathered her family and told them there wasn't any hope for her and then suggested taking her off of life support and donating any good organs that she had.  The family met and decided to do as the doc's had recommended.  While the family was in the waiting room a nurse called the mother to the nursing station and had her look at the security monitor that was watching her daughters room.  There was a bright light at the door and it was in the shape of a winged angel!!  It stayed for quite sometime also.  The rest of the family and doctors and nurses were all called to watch what was going on.  After the angel left the child was checked by doctors.  All of her stats were normal again and she was alert.  She went home the following day and will celebrate her 15th birthday with her family on Christmas Day.  Now if that isn't a Christmas miracle, I don't know what would be!
Anyway, y'all have a blessed and happy Christmas!!

Merry, Merry Christmas my friends!!!

I want to wish all of you a very Merry, Merry Christmas!  May it be spent with those you love the most!  It's a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to celebrate our families.  Families have changed alot in the sixty years I've been on this earth, but I cherish the fact that my son and his lady want to raise their children so that they know what a family really is.  A family isn't just a group of folks that we are related to.  It's love, togetherness, a willingness to help each other regardless of what the need is.  It's taking care of each other during the good and the bad times.  It's hanging onto each other for all we're worth.  It encompasses more than any one person could list, I'm sure. There are folks in this world whose families have failed them and have only appeared to be family when they had the need to make things look good for them.  I know alot of folks like that and I tell ya --- those folks can and will be better family to others than alot of blood families could ever be.  I pray that not one of those folks are left by themselves on this holiday.  Nobody should have to be alone on a holiday such as this.  If you know of anyone that's going to be alone would you please invite them to join you and the others in you holiday gathering?  Pretty please???  What's it going to hurt?  Nothing, I'm sure of that.

Anyway, I hope y'all have a wonderful Christmas Holiday this year.  May it be full of love, joy, peace and family.

Much love,

Moki

I was sitting here and thinking about the past year.  A lot of things have really changed my life.  The worse was losing my husband in July.  The best was moving.  Since I have moved I realize how lucky I really am.  I used to worrry about my artificial leg all the time.  For a while thats all I thought about.  But now I don't even use a cane anymore.  in fact I lost my favorite cane because I forgot I had it with me and I just started walking.  I have new friends now and my old comfortable friends.  I  know now that I can take care of myself and come out the better for it.  I have never lived alone before and really didn't think I could do it.  But my bills are paid on time and I am able to take care of myself.  I have already talked to the principal of an elementary right across the street.  Starting the first of the year I am going to start helping with the kids where I am needed.  So because of support I got here from my friends I have survived the worse day of my life and am looking forward to the future.  That is a christmas blessing.
