Hi, Lynne, nice to meet you!! I see you love animals, I have two she-dogs and I love them too. I don't have cats of my own, but I feed a lot of them from my neighbourhood. My name is Eva, recently 59, this Christmas will be 30 years of marriage, with four children, one of them has gone to Spain about two months ago, (27) twins of 29 (a boy and a girl) both single, and a girl of 24 not married but waiting for a baby boy for february, I think. I also have a year and 10 months granddaughter that I take care everyday from 6.30 in the morning till 6 pm.
what kind of crafts do you make?  Eva

Hi Eva..thanks for the nice hello..
the crafts i love are things you can make with your hands..

i love melt n pour soaps..i make soap bars from bulk soap you pour into molds.. mostly medieval themes dragons ect castles knights celtic..

i also tried sculpty clay.. making my own beads
my cats are constantly snitching my earrings so
its cheaper to make my own..
we have a awsome bead museum and gift shop in
glendale az..and glendale has about 50 antique shops
all in one area  ( big grin )

I also love Christmas time crafts.. as you can buy a bag of cranberries and string them with beads and berries..let them air dry  and wear them as necklaces..

i make my own potpourie out of dried baby rosebuds
and buy epsom salts and mix em.. you can take any  dried flowers and make your own the same way
and add powdered milk to it for a great soothing
milk bath.. add a few drops of your fav frag oil

Mom taught me how to make rag rugs..you take old
clothes tear into strips braid the strips and sew them into little rugs..

my most favorite this time of year..taking those mtns of plastic bags from grocery store..tear them
into little strips tie them to a wire coat hanger you
shaped into a circle and instant White Christmas wreath.. Mom use to tape peppermints around them
and sell them for VA..

one friend of mine use to gather pinecones on the ground at public parks and then go home and hot glue gun them to old wicker baskets..makes great bread
baskets..

if its fun and wild and wacky i love to try it once..
thanks again for the great hello..

blessings

Lynne, I am really astonished with all the things you know, I also love doing crafts but I can't do so interesting and useful things as you do. I used to do some macrame, recycling, some earrings, but I think that is all, and now, unluckily I don't do much because my first aim is to take care of my granddaughter. In January she will be 2 years old, so she is becoming mischevous and I have to keep a permanent eye on her. How great you still keep the knowledge of your mother. My mother does some crochet, hairpin lace I think it is called in English, and my daughter has learnt that from her, but I didn't .
The city where I live is called 'Córdoba' in Argentina, It is the second in importance after Buenos Aires the capital.

Lynne, again, nice to meet you!! Eva

Lynn Frances, sorry if I didn't answer before, I don't know why I haven't seen the page of Glendale before. Really very sorry!! it is perhaps I always come just for some minutes and try to answer as fast as possible. Today, my little granddaughter is taken care by her mother who has 4 days off. So I decided to pay more attention to the notes and found this I hadn't read!! thanks a lot for the page, it is always nice to know about other places. Glendale has interesting events.

I don't usually travel, but this new year I have to go to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina for just a few days. My husband will be a godfather of his niece's daughter. Buenos Aires is the first in importance, then Cordoba follows. I travel next Thursday and come back the following week. But I will try to connect in internet using the cyber cafes.
During this time we are in summer, yesterday was too hot and people were crazy about it. If you are close a river no problem, but in the city, people can't bear it, however, today the weather is really nice, the temperature is not too hot.
Well, Lynn, sorry again, I hope to pay more attention next time, Eva
