I thought I would pose a challenge to the managers and thinkers in this group.

In my years of roleplaying online, I have taken part in many great events that go on within the chat room. These events are often 'epic' in nature, and often are connected to roleplaying going on in the actual forums. I'm talking wars, battles, quests, things that keep the players active and coming back each day just to see what happens next.

Unfortunately, it seems that this group seems to lack such events. Now, whether it is a lack of initiative on our parts or that of the managers, I am curious to see if something of this nature could be done. Every time I go into the oasiz chat room I see the same thing going on day in and day out; Slaves being ordered around by masters who do nothing but sit in the common room doing absolutely nothing. Granted, it is apparent that some people don't mind that sort of thing, but after about the fifth time I played out the exact same roleplay with my characters, I got a little bored.

Now, frankly, I think that the day to day life has gotten a little menial in the sense that nothing ever changes. There are slave auctions, I suppose, but even those are done so quickly that you don't get a feel for the event.

I understand that this is a NFZ, and as such things like wars and invasions would need to be cleared, but putting aside large scale bloodshed there could be activities to spice things up a little. Hunting would be one activity that comes to mind, all the masters and slaves heading out into the forest for a few days to go on the hunt. Anything to get people out of the castle for a little bit of adventure would be nice.

Also, I would suggest that slave auctions actually be roleplayed out rather than auctioning them in a way that borders crossing IC with OOC conversation. It couldn't hurt for the auctioneer to actually describe the auction hall with the crowd of people, the guards and where the slaves are being kept. It couldn't hurt for people to post with a bit more effort than saying "Karth: 100", "So-and-so: 200".
I suppose an actual storyline besides being a castle that holds slave auctions might help to get the ideas flowing...so...does Original Slave Castle actually HAVE a story other than that?
Anyhow...I would like to hear some other ideas for events to be held, and for managers and people in power to shoot said ideas down (or hopefully take a few and develop them >.>.)
