Elda sat in the cage, leaning against the metal bars. Her head throbbed and she pulled her legs close to her chest resting her head on her knees. Her wrists were chained to the bars. How could she have been so foolish? Her sister had warned her what would happen if she went wondering around at night ‘they’ll catch you and sell you for a slave�?she’d said. She had been walking around, enjoying the fresh air and then two men had grabbed her and hit her on the head. Then she woke up there, in the cage. She whimpered and held onto her sore head "let me go, please" she begged. The man laughed "yeah right, a sweet little morsel like you?" he chuckled and leaned against the outside of the cage. He shouted to the people who walked by "Slave for sale, just caught last night. She’s going to need some training!"
