Finally, she had escaped her fathers hand, he could not reach her in this distant land. She doubt the drunken sod even knew about this place, probably hadn't even yet realized she was gone he'd been in such a stupor. She didn't care that at the end of his life she would gain whatever it was he had left in way of title, deeds and cash. Oh, she wasn't a fool, she knew he gambled too so things couldn't be as good for him as they seemed. It was better to be away from such vile influence before her spirit was broken completely by a man who despised her as much, no more so than her mother. The horrid man had murdered that gentle woman who at one time in life had loved him, at least until he revealed to her his true nature.

To Amaia men were weaklings, fools even that only thought about their own importance and something that wasn't their brain. She much preferred to be the one in charge rather than having to go through something like her mother had and her own experiences what there was didn't endear the male of the species to her. They were interesting to keep as pets, it never went any further than that. At the moment though, out on the sea nearing the port she was horribly bored. A new life awaited her, at least she'd brought some things with her that should tide her over while she sought some sort of other employment. She was determined that no one should ever know from where she came. The title of Lady she wouldn't be using here. She simply did not wish to be found by the man who had sired her, the man who would have killed her soon after birth if not for her mothers intervention.

Her eyes roamed over the distant port that was growing closer and closer in her field of vision, soon her new life would begin. Although she'd prefer to not be there alone, maybe she could find something or someone, or purchase someone at least with whom to use in whatever capacity she might need them.
