Happy New Year everyone. We saw the night in quietly.
A toast with sparkling grape juice for the kids and Lindeur for me after dinner. Then Mr B and I settled down and watched a movie.
We stayed awake long enough for the New Year and then both of us were out like a light. Hannah said my mum rang at about 12.15 and we were out to it . Hannah and her mate were still up watching Youtube.
It's a bit sad when a 71 year old woman is up well after her 31 year old daughter . I can't even use the kids as an excuse, mum's been helping my brother and SIL with their 6 week old twins.
Beaker - I was like you - asleep before the bewitching hour! The only time I'm ever awake at 'that hour' on NY's Eve is when I'm working.
My parents are staying through Christmas and New Year. We watched a movie, 'The World's Fastest Indian' and loved it. I went to bed and watched part of the Royal Variety Performance but got bored.
My flatmate worked night shift in the Emergency dept - they would have had a doozy of a night I bet. We're going to have a roast dinner tonight and will have the Deutz or Lindauer then.
I must be getting old, there was a street party but I could not be bothered staying out there for more than 30 minutes. I don't mind having a drink but think drinking yourself drunk is just silly. I also have had blocked ears since Monday which is not helpping at all.
