My parents have a new baby - a Seal Burmese Girl called Mitzi. Mtizi's a 15 week old kitten. She's into everything. Mum was in the bedroom this afternoon and heard a voice on the speaker phone saying, "111 where is your emergency?" Mum dived for the phone and it was a 111 Operator. Seems Mitzi had turned the speaker phone on and accidently (giving the wee monkey the benefit of the coubt) dialled 111. Mum had a bit of explaining to do to convince the Operator there wasn't an emergency at the address! Here the innocent wee poppet is:-

I am wondering about Sally's telepathic abilities.
We unplugged the fax machine to stop that damn cat ringing 111

Phil has stopped doing work at home at the moment due to Sally attempting to write her blog while he is using the laptop. He plugs in a normal keyboard and mouse into the lap top to use so Sally comes along and stands on the lap top keyboard which buggers up whatever he is working on.

In Sally's case and with her record, I'd have to say she knows EXACTLY what she's doing. In Mitzi's case, I'm not sure yet. She's only 15 weeks old BUT she's Burmese. All I can say is that even though Dad's 86 and Mum's 79, Mitzi will keep them young .... not to mention on their toes

Mum and Dad's 17 year old Tonkinese, Jasmine died last month after becoming seriously ill. As soon as I found out what the medical condition she had was, I tracked down a lovely breeder in Palmy. KTJ and I bought the wee poppet for them and I took her up there 3 weeks ago. She has well and truly established herself there and has Dad exactly where she wants him.

I once spilled something on the phone, and accidently pressed 1 three times in a row while wiping it clean . Had to tell the operator it was not an emergency call, because I was just cleaning the phone and inadvertently dialled 11. They were not impressed, and I got billed $6 for a non-emergency call to 111 on my next phone bill.

Ive done it by mistake after pressing redial, I think I had been trying to book a ferry.  Press 1 for timetables then 1 for wlg to picton then 1 for somebody to take the booking.  You know the 1.  Some thing didnt work and when I pressed redial I got 111.  I didnt even think about pressing the option buttons until I got an emergency operator!!!  They didnt charge me tho !!!

Wonder what Newtown-Fella would say if he knew the truth about this and who the Dispatcher was?

lol, Ali.  I still laugh at this.
I bet you got a ribbing about this.  If my dad was your work mate he would of put a stuff kitten on your desk etc.
Can see the funny side.

Amazingly didn't get any ribbing at all. Lots of laughs at work from the rest of the staff - bosses included.

I imagine the little minx was trying to contact Ali to complain about some slight or another - like the salmon was chilled instead of warm - or the other way around - depending on her desire of the moment.

Why do you think I posted the picture of Sally laughing in that thread? I laughed myself silly when I saw it but I wasn't going to spill the beans.
