| A couple of further things. You can select to use Classic Hotmail instead of Livemail. You do that and set it up as a default when you log-in to Hotmail/Livemail. The second thing is that you can still open a Hotmail account as opposed to a Livemail account. When you go to the page to create a new email account (do it via the link on the generic http://groups.msn.com page), in the pane where you create your new account name, it will show livemail.com by default. However, that is actually part of a drop-down menu. Highlight livemail.com in the box and the drop-down menu will appear giving you the option to create a hotmail.com account instead. Whether or not livemail vs hotmail has any bearing on being able to sign into MSN Groups, I don't know, but it's worth trying. |
