I'll be away for a few weeks from tomorrow.
Behave yourselves while my back is turned!

Could be a bit of that Os.  - dunno if I'm enthusiastic about the intoxication part these days - but I'll definately be sampling the local brews!

As most are aware, I have returned!

Scotland was lovely and steeped in history, mostly violent.
I'm not a whiskey drinker, so the distillery tours were really wasted on me.  Managed to choke a couple of gills down though........

The local beers there are, frankly, bloody appalling!   Much as it goes against the grain to drink Lion Breweries products, most pubs there had Fosters on tap, so we drank that in preference, when available.

Switzerland is beautiful and steeped in banks!  Take out a 2nd mortgage on your house before you go, so you can afford to buy a beer.

The less said about that pest-hole Dubai, the better.  I hope never to return!
Bangkok was interesting and I will have to return one day

We had good weather all through Scotland.  We had odd periods of rain in Switzerland, but mostly fine.
I dont even want to talk about Dubai.
When we landed in Auckland last Thursday, it was fine, and after overnighting there we left for Nelson Friday on an absolutely stunning day.  We dragged the good weather down here with us.
