Have left work.
Am so angry it is not funny.
After I broke my hand in March and went through all the crap at work the big boss said things would cahnge.  Last Monday Blake was really sick and Dave hadleft for work so I need to have the day off.  When I phoned work the women said don't worry about it I will ring your clients and just tell them the job is canceled.. This meant that no one would be there for another 2 weeks.  Two of them must of had enough because they phone and told them they no longer wanted Kincare in there home.
By Thursday 2 others had phoned and also a friend who works there also lost a couple of her clients because of the same thing.
The boss promised he would emply people just to do fullin work so that this would not happen.  And h still has not done this.
These aged people need to be taken care of.
I got so angry on THursday I phoned my boss and told her it was no longer funny and I was leaving.
I left right away.  Because my next day was today the boss said i could leave right away and she would let them know and all would be ok.
Saturday night I decided to e-mail the manager of the company and let im know what was going on and when I got to my work e-mail address there was a e-mail from the office.  My dumb ass boss had not told scuilding(sp) and they have booked me out for today.
I phoned one of the people last night to tell them I had left and that no one would be there today.  He was so nice to me and understood why I left and said now that I no longer was going to be there he would ring them as he was going to change companys.
I have nearly finished my coursed and will do so then see what i will do.
This so sucks because I love my clients and will really miss them.  But can no longer work in conditions like this any more.

Moan over thanks for reading.

yes it does suck big time.
I was in woolworths doing food shop after dropping the kids off and got  a phone call saying my first client had canceled permintly and they had another job for me.
When I told them I had left they had no idea.  Sad really.

What is it about the elderly care sector that makes experiences like yours not uncommon?
I have heard of similar things happening before.
That is one of the reasons I take an elderly friend of mine shopping every week. She had so much trouble with agentcies that she now pays a couple of friends to do the things she can nolonger do.

I feel crap really.  It brakes my heart to go but cannot stand people been treated like crap.  My old boss phoned today and said they have lost my resignation letter.  I said you have to be kidding.  I did loss it abit at her.  Luckly I did it on the puter and so can reprint it.  She asked for it tomorrow and I said no.  You will get it when I go pasted next and not before.

Good on ya k1w1.  Sometimes I think that employers of services for the elderly are just trying to fleece as much as they can from the elderly instead of genuinely looking after the elderly's needs and the needs of their employees.  Hope Blake is better now and that you will find a better job with more sympathetic employers.
