It makes a huge difference when you have a support person or life style change partner, so it's great for you and your Mum.

My usual food intake per day is as follows:-

BREAKFAST - 1 piece of whole or multi grain toast with peanut butter, cup of tea with trim milk.

MID MORNING SNACK - 2 mandarins or an apple or 2 kiwifruit.

LUNCH - lean ham and salad sandwich on wholegrain or multigrain bread, lettuce salad with carrot, tomato, feta cheese, cashew nuts and beetroot.

MID AFTERNOON SNACK - As fistful of meal mate mini's

DINNER - small piece of steak (no fat) either grilled or pan-fried on spray on oil with generous servings of brussell sprouts (or cabbage, spinach or similar), carrots and one small potato

EVENING SNACK - 2 kiwifruit or an apple or 2 mandarins or a pear

Sometimes for dinner I have a handful of cooked chicken and a large salad. You can eat as much beetroot, carrots, brussel sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, cabbage, lettuce and tomato as you like.
