A Dream about Dakota
Copyright 2005 By NyghtOwl

(3-2-2005)

Just last Sunday Night, I had a Dream about my Dog Dakota.. He was walking slowly towards water it looked like a stream in my dream.

I started running towards him trying to make him see he was heading in the wrong direction, I tried to stop him, but he slipped into the stream and started floating away from me.
I saw he was getting supported by other family animals that we had lost years before.

I saw Petrie standing on the other side of the bank, I knew then it was time to let go of Dakota.

Sharing just alittle History about Our Dog Dakota
We got Dakota, as a puppy from the Animal Shelter 7 years ago. He had a wonderful life with us-
It took him along time to learn how to sit and heel, and it took him a couple of years to realize that water was fun to play in.
But that Didn't stop him, He loved playing with the Ball, He was a great searcher, and he found the Ball when I would hide it out in the yard, when he was in the house waiting.
He use to love chasing the Ravens out of our yard, he would search the skies for birds, and knew what a helo sounded like.
He would watch TV and whine if another dog was on the Show, HE loved Lassie, he would get up and put his nose to the TV screen and whine at her..
He was my Companion, he would follow me from one room to another, watching me do dishes, or just sitting next to me, knowing I was safe. HE loved going in the Truck or Van for rides, He would Bark at anything that moved.
He use to Howl like a young Wolf, he shared his love of howling with his other companion Toka, They would both voice their Opinions when we would put them in the Kennel.

Dakota was a Happy and Loving Dog, And we will Miss him Dearly. Dakota passed away knowing he was- LOVED
He Will Always Be Welcomed to Come Home anytime, as I told him that before we left to take him back to the Shelter to have him put down..

In Loving Memory of

~Dakota~

~Bless his Heart for staying as long as he did with Us.  May we see him again as he will always be apart of our family and in our hearts forever~
