Little better quality picture this year because we bought Kitten a new camera for Christmas last year.
Just pretend you don't see the roaster box or the boxes of cookbooks. The bookcases my  husband  built me on both sides of the fireplace are packed. Sasi, see the  potpourii in the glass candle holders on each side of the turkey? See, you in a way, were with us at our table this year. I certainly was thinking of you and your family too. Oh and can you see the little angel bear in the background? I bought that from HSN. I have it holding a sign that says "Be an angel, please don't smoke". There are no smoking signs all around our home.  You can't see the turkey on the platter on the far end of the table. LOL I put out all my better plates for my husband to use for the turkey, yet he put the sliced turkey on one of our everyday Corelle plates. Not all the food was on the table yet. I hadn't put my little dessert pots on yet either.

What roaster box and box of recipe books?  I didn't notice them until you mentioned them, but I still don't see them.  Your table looks very elegant.  I hope your husband put more turkey on the platter then is in the picture.  That wouldn't have lasted long in our family.  I was always having to get up and carve more turkey and fill the gravy boat.  Did you buy that bear this year or last?  Doesn't it play music?  What did you put in the dessert pots?  I see you still haven't cooked that turkey.  Must be getting a pretty gamey by now. LOL  It was so nice of you to make me a part of your Thanksgiving.  That's the closest I got to a turkey this year.

I don't blame you, we don't appreciate people coming in our home that smoke either.  My sons girlfriend used to smoke and he told her that, so she went outside to smoke.  It didn't help though because the breeze would blow it right through the windows, if they were open.

LOL Underneath the window there are several boxes full of those little recipe booklets like you see at the checkout counter. And, there is a pile of recipes I've cut out. I just have no other place to put them, til Kitten moves out. There is also now a huge stack of cookbooks sitting on the floor. I had to move them from the kitchen table. The roaster box is on the floor at the far end of the table. I'll probably find a place to put it downstairs, or maybe in the garage. If you look closely, you can see the real turkey at the far end of the table, behind the centerpiece. My  husband sits at the head of the table. He always slices meat and puts it on a separate dish because it is easier to pass around that way. And, he always tells everyone there is plenty more. My turkey platter matches the gravy boat you see. I bought them at Tuesday Morning a few years ago. I used to have a big white turkey platter. But, it got broken somehow. Did you notice my "First Thanksgiving" tablecloth? Now it is time to put on my Christmas one. So, I guess it was a good thing your daughter had the feast at her place this year, since you were sick. And, apparently she did ok fixing her first turkey on her own. Kitten just made chocolate pudding for the little pots. I bought those Somers pots with my Spendable Kash. Let's see, I think I bought that particular bear a couple of years ago. It isn't one that plays music, isn't really a Christmas bear.  Oh, and that turkey always gets  a pardon. He'd be way too tough to cook now anyway. LOL

My daughter goes outside to smoke. I asked her if didn't smoking bother her sore throat. She said yes. LOL
