Kitten took this pic this morning. This little froggie seems to like to sit on this fake turtle in our pond. |

Awwww that is so cute. He doesn't look real. I see your water lilies are blooming. My daughters are too. They have a little turtle in their pond. Every once in awhile it will pop his head up among the lily pads and look around. If he sees you he disappears. |

That one is real. And, there are several others, including one that we don't know from where it came. I do have several fake ones sitting everywhere, have lots of toad abodes too. The magpies fly off with my fake frogs. I found one under a bush the other day when I was mowing. I used to enjoy turtles in our pond too but gave up on trying to have them with all the wildlife around here. Yes, our lilies are blooming nicely right now. I should have had Kitten take a pic of them today. There were several colors in bloom. What colors does your daughter have? I took one to the neighbor lady the other day. Kitten is taking her a floating heart tomorrow when she goes over to go swimming with their visiting grandson. Their pond is quite small, can't handle too many plants. She knows nothing about water gardening, is always asking me questions. That little yellow flower in the pic is a floating heart. My cannas are all blooming right now too. Ah geesch, I just remembered I never fed the fish today. I'll have to do that first thing tomorrow. |

I think my daughters lilies are white. Not sure though. I wish they would get more plants. The pond would look so much better. Right now there is a lot of moss growing in it. I noticed that the fish are eating it. The fish seem quite healthy and are getting quite big. I told my daughter they are going to have to think about getting a fence put around the pond before Tyler starts walking, which will be sooner then they think. |

Aha, found you strolling through my garden. This isn't the best time to do that. The mosquitoes are bad at dusk. I wish I had a way to get some of my lilies to your daughter. I have some prettty colors. Some of the prettiest colors are in tropicals though. I gave up trying to have them, prefer the hardy ones that don't have to be babied, can just stay in the pond over winter. I have given away hundreds of dollars worth of lilies. Does your daughter have snails in her pond? They help keep the algae problem down. I had hoped to post some more pics of our pond today. But, Kitten had problems with the computer earlier. It just kept freezing up on her. Maybe she'll work on them after I get off, which I need to do soon. My husband is already snoring away and I need to get to bed and rest up for tomorrow. |
